Preview The Rookie Campaign and fly Mission 1, the first of a 10 mission campaign following 2nd Lt. Terry Pettibone (T-Bone) through the first few weeks after his arrival at "the front."

Installation:
You may automatically extract both versions of the mission files directly to your missions folder. Default location is C\Jane's Combat Simulations\WWII Fighters\Data\Missions. Or, you may extract to a temp folder and copy the mission files into the WWIIF missions folder wherever you have it located.

Mission 1

Familiarization and Navigation hop for Rookie Lt. Terry Pettibone, better known as T_Bone, who will fly wing on the senior pilot in the group - Capt. Lawrence Ackerman, 27 yrs of age and better known as "Gramps".

The route is along the front as approximated in January - February 1945. There are surprises built in along the way that will allow different situations almost every time you fly it.

There is no objective except to live to fly and fight another day.

Taking pages from several prolific mission builders I have included 2 versions, The Rookie 1 and The Rookie 1V. #1 has all visual aids turned on and the player has the same wayset as Gramps.

Mission 1V has no visual aids and the player has no wayset. Gotta keep up with the Old Man - Gramps. Follow his instructions and you may just make it.

Hope you enjoy. This will be the only advance issue. The others will come out as the campaign. It will follow "Rookie" Lt. Pettibone - T_BONE - as he gains experience as a new, young fighter pilot flying one of the finest fighting aircraft ever built and being taught by some of the finest, most courageous soldiers ever to strap one on!

Disclaimer: This mission runs fine on my machine (PIII 800, 384MB RAM, TI-GF 4200 64MB, MS98SE). If it doesn't on yours, I'm sorry, but it ain't the mission!
